I have a 7' medium action ugly stik that I bought in 1985 and caught my personal best sturgeon/striper on it. and still bust it out from time to time and it looks and preforms great!

I bought 4 of those years ago at walmart for that price. Two rated 8-20 that I still use for trolling big plugs for trout and macks because of their soft/mod action.  The other 2 were 10-25 that I used for several years for live-bait drifting for halibut.  Still use them for drifting gills/shiners for stripers. Great rods for the price.  Not good for jigging but I like them for some things.

Love my ugly sticks. They are great multiple purpose rods, super cheap, and never break.
