Guys & Gals...

I get a lot of requests regarding "how much better is CHIRP than traditional (broadband) sonar?"  I attended a Pro-Staff meeting this past weekend where we got to see & play with a few of the 2015 models coming out and better understand the benefits of CHIRP.  One key thing to understand, all Lowrance CHIRP models also include HDI so it's not an either/or situation.  As you may have seen through some various sites, the HDI models are being replaced with CHIRP (with the integrated HDI).  They use the same transducer & power cable & mount.

This YouTube video is one that REALLY stood out to me and I wanted to share it with all of you!

I was HIGHLY impressed by the ability of this thing to pick up 2 tennis balls & a brick!  They even showed us a slide of someone drop shot rigging in, I believe, 38' of water & you could see the swivel, the lure & the weight along with the jigging action!  I will post up the slide as soon as I get it sent to me.

I'm putting a CHIRP unit on my wish list for early 2015 along with the new HDS Gen3 unit ...  My HDS Gen2 9" touch screen will be for sale REAL SOON!!!!
