Good Times Boys......Good Times.

I'd like to thank the distinguished guest list of fine upstanding citizens that joined in celebrating the holidays.

There were some notable moments:

We reserved 20 seats, which included a long row of tables and two booths.  An elderly couple sat at one of the tables and the lady nearly beat us all up when we told her it was reserved, we subsided and let them have the booth.

Dottieboy's inclusion of the infamous two-hook sturgeon rig from fisherman's warehouse.....which included a parental advisory notice of illegality in CA.  Apparently all the fuss was unwarranted.

Rockhopper was generous enough to gift an epic swag bag of rockfish faves, including a couple swimbaits, hand poured by papa bill himself.  I believe Won had número uno and pulled the gift first.  It was promptly stolen by CDM who graciously baptized the jigs with his own pro cure variant of ode de' Antonio.  Alas, shoving the jigs down his crotch to prevent  a second steal didn't work and I proceeded to lock them up with number 3.

Later, I decided to get cute and return the favor on the rapalas he won.....my only accomplishment was sticking myself in the hand with a treble and getting the other hook stuck in my shirt.  And I managed that while the lure was still in its box.

Pablito Pescador probably had the pull of the night.....he was all smiles when he grabbed a gift custom wrapped in brown paper hand towels and scotch tape.  It was kinda obvious the gift was some sort of soft good, he unwrapped it to reveal a t-shirt with I Heart Pandora scribed accross the chest.  Everyone kinda had a what the hell is that look on their face until we noticed Al cracking up in the corner......he's a Pandora employee.....and Paul is now a firm supporter of Spotify.

The party made its way to the bar where CDM laid out more I Love You Man's than a bud light commercial.

Last call around 11 and we fumbled out into the lot to figure out a plan b for the remainder of the night. The club next door, Rockbar or something to that effect, looked promising but $20 cover to schmooze with the cast of cougar town didn't look like such a good deal.  So we all went........home. :)

If you didnt go and you're feeling like you missed out on a good time.....you did.....,but it's looking like we may be hosting a monthly meeting of the minds.  You know, to discuss serious matters affecting our lives, like the devastating impact of the aoty committee's disregard of the mighty flounder.  Or Levi' v. Wranglers, the hatred of sails, or the number of porta potties that should be available during a tourney.  Such travesties, debates and ideas will now have a live platform for discussion. Stay tuned for event number one.

Great times indeed!  Its always a great time with the NCKA crew...thanks for making it happen Art.

This place was poppin Friday night.  I arrived there to see the food line wrapping all the way around to the bar area.  Looked like at least a 40 min wait so I chilled til the line got a bit shorter.  Then I got up to plate and ate myself retarded.   :smt044

And yes, I went with the first pick, whatever was heaviest...and it proved to be the best gift of the night which was immediately jacked by CDM.   :smt005

Happy I ended up with the special edition sturgeon rig which I will surely use for sturgeons with 3 rods, somewhere in the Napa River.    :smt044

Thanks for the great time fellas.

Dude! WTF, did I miss?

When you guys went over to the Rock Bar, or whatever, I jammed across the street to 7-11 to get a red bull. Was gone for like 4 minutes. When I came back everyone was gone!

Probably a good thing, though, 'cause I made it home OK, but was starting to get a little sleepy around Petaluma.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...
