Wondering if anyone else has had this experience? A couple of dungeness I brought home yesterday had a taste that I would describe as like iodine. Not too strong, it still tasted like crab, and we ate it. But not the greatest tasting crab either due to this kind of metallic taste.

Thoughts?

LOL! Right? That has been crossing my mind from time to time since it happened. I have read that tuna fish have had signs radiation...I am sure there is more fish that are like them. I was thinking of buying a radiation detector...but they are a few hundred.  :smt030

I am quite the conspiracy theorists so no need to listen to me hahaha :dwarf:

I Live 6 miles from Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. San Luis Obispo County of Public Health sent everyone in the county by snail mail a "window of opportunity" to renew our supply of Potassium Iodide tablets?

I already own a geiger counter and am skilled in its use.

I don't shop for scrap metal at reclamation centers much anymore.

Cheers,

Molting is tinny?  I got a huge yellow rock crab that tasted tinny.  I kinda freaked and didn't eat it.  Now I know to just add vinegar and carry on.  :-)
