Rained for hours real steady this morning in Lafayette but just not as much up here in Fair Oaks

Less than 1/2" in Placerville area.  Very disappointing as they said up to 11" of snow further up the hill. 

My digital rain gauge has us just over an inch today.  Didn't feel like it but ???? We need it!

Pouring down rain at my house for the last 30 mins.

Carmel valley/upper Big Sur Monterey area---has been raining steady and sometimes heavy since friday mid morning.
I woke today/Staurday early , to silence and was laying there planning my gear load up-when the heavy rains started again and have been going strong---sounds like the tail of the storm is passing to the east...fingers crossed...go toss some swimbaits off the kelp beds..

I wonder if this is enough to have the Carmel River flowing a trickle ---poor rivers

the heavy rain stopped...there is a green blob way off shore and acting like it will come my way on radar but it does not have the colored center that the heavy rains -radar- usually shows

better yet!!! I can see that familiar pink and gold sky poking through thinner gray strips,as I look out my window west towards Carmel bay

the swell report on the morning news was like 6-8 foot @ 13 seconds and 5-15kt winds...but no worries..I got my camera and am going get some pics showing what that forecast REALLY looked like
I can FEEL a great fishing on the bay day coming.....best part of fishing is knowing it is gonna be a GO!!

that will be awesome.....gonna be good to get out there again...we may go another route at first...more spots to poke a swimbait in....like crack of dawn

oh and btw it now is officially blue skies and sun out over Carmel bay....later
