Been fishing a ton w/ Mr. Matt Lately and having a blast. Working hard, tossing flies, spinners, and building traps for some bugs also. Mainly been working the AR for all it's tasty creatures.

While salmon fishing we came across an area loaded with Mudbugs. Since I am an east coaster Crawdad boil popped into my head, and it just so happened I have a 160qt pot with a double jet burner.

Total take of the crawdads have been 75 pounds in only a few trips. I built up some traps and we used dip nets also. We Let the traps soak while drift fishing, and pull them every 30-40mins.

Here is a few pics to water your tastebuds…

Just used some plastic rolls I bought from Lowes. The traps cost me about $5.00 a each to build. cheap enough and not worried about them getting stolen. Did some research online and came up with a slightly different design.

I used to live in NOLA too, and would love some crawfish out here! Let me know when you guys want to do it! And where's BigJim? I bet he'd be all over this! Probably out diving.....

Oh man, and crab too... I used to catch blues with hot dogs!

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”
