So, it appears that most folks would want to do a class focused on surf launches and landings? Would that be accurate? Could we have a class that focuses the first 1/2 on stroke fundamentals and the second half on surf launches and landings? I'm also looking to schedule this on the November 11/12 weekend of the November 25/26 weekend? Please let me know if the above sounds good. If so, I'll continue working with CCK to put this together. Thanks!

It sounds good to me. Nov 22/23 and 29/30 will work.
To answer the other questions:
- First year kayaking
- Being out maybe 10 times (ocean only)
- Took a class for self rescue at one of NCKA event but not sure I can say that I'm confident
- Paddling- only basic and I am not even sure I do it right

There's a move called a boof stroke which i use when trying to launch of rocks, over a hole, or to lift the bow on top of the foam pile heading out through the surf that uses the core to thrust the boat forward. Not sure if that's what you mean, but it's a stroke for technical situations.

Saturday is better for me. if Sunday, I can make it work.
How many years have you been kayak fishing? 1.5 yr.

- How many times have you been out kayak fishing in the ocean during that period? 8 times

- How many times have you been out on a kayak during that period? 9 times.

- Can you self-rescue with confidence? Think so.

- What strokes are you familiar with and confidence level with each (1-10)

-- forward stroke. 7

-- sweep strokes 6

-- draw strokes 4

-- reverse forward stroke 7

Okay, it looks like we have Frenchie, Ling A Ding, YaknFish and myself so far. Please let me know if anyone else is interested by providing me with the information that I requested before the end of the upcoming weekend. I am looking to set it up on one of the following dates: November 8, 9, 22, 23 or December 6 or 7. Once I get all the information I'll contact CCK and see if I can setup a date where the majority of folks can attend. Thanks!

I'm still interested. I likely free on the Nov 9th, 22, 23 or Dec 6, 7.

- How many years have you been kayak fishing? less than a year

- How many times have you been out kayak fishing in the ocean during that period? 20+

- How many times have you been out on a kayak during that period? 21+

- Can you self-rescue with confidence? not graceful or always a first time success, but I've never NOT self rescued yet.

- What strokes are you familiar with and confidence level with each (1-10)
-- forward stroke 5(?) I can move forward
-- sweep strokes 0
-- draw strokes 0
-- reverse forward stroke 5(?) I can move in reverse
-- others: ??

I am intrested in your class tell me were and when.
Been yak fishing 2years
50 + times in the salt
Self rescue for really once 1/4 mile off lover point flipped wile landing a fish lost a lot of gear but writed the boat and landed the fish
Out of MBA willing to drive
