Should read 'hello again'... been without a canoe for a few years, but have recently moved from Cheshire to a little village called Berrow, between Ledbury and Tewkesbury.

Been tossing up between a ka*ak and a canoe and have pretty much decided on a solo canoe. (If anyone has one for sale please let me know.)

Can anyone point me in the direction of a small canoeing group/club around these parts? Happy to gravitate towards the Wye, if recommended. I'm self-employed and able to get out at pretty much any time during the week... but - oo-er  - I do need to myself a canoe first!

    All the best.

      Hello and Welcome Back!

Obviously, a canoe is the right choice.

Welcome back, Duck Feet. (I like the name! It's very nearly what I said when my insect repellent dissolved the plastic on my passport! SMwhistle)

Hope to see out and about on some of the local trips we have - especially in a canoe! ;)

Feeling somewhat red faced... I've been talked into buying a ka*ak, so I guess that might make me persona non grata on a canoe forum... BUT WAIT.... I promise to talk my wife into buying a double canoe next year... knowing she'll like the idea, but in reality will never come with me!

We'll let you off, purely because we can be smug, comfy in our silent open canoes whilst you sit in a drippy, noisy little bit of tupperware! ;) Only joking, congrats on the new boat. Any paddlecraft goes on here!

Simple solution to the problem: get a saw and a) make the hole in the top of your kSMcensoredk (much) bigger, and b) cut one end off your paddle and throw it away! ;)

                        Hi and welcome,

Looking at your avatar, you want a canoe to take the pooch out!!

Never mind about the kayak....we all make mistakes!! ;)

It's just being on the water that counts....enjoy :D
