Covalent SUP Paddle board rec
« on: September 16, 2014, 10:58:47 AM »
Anyone have any experience with Covalent boards?  http://www.covalentsurfboards.com/

They are new (especially to SUP) and I can't find reviews as to how they hold up/perform.

I bought a Costco WaveRunner.  Not very happy with it.  I am on a budget so I can't spend 1000 but want to get something better than the Costco board.

Any other recs for paddle boards in the $500-700 range and/or what to look for used?

It's mostly for Mission Bay, San Diego.  Possibly ocean on a calm day.  No surfing.
Thanks,
Dave

Craigslist is your friend.  Be patient with cash in hand for the right deal, they do pop up.  You can use  searchtempest to search all of craigslist in your area at once which really helps.  Some places sell used rental boards cheap too.  Some are good and some are not so you have to know what you are looking for.
