Red Canoe Credit Union in Albany will again be collecting school supplies as part of its 5th Annual Fill the Canoe School Supply Drive.
In partnership with the Greater Albany Public Schools, the credit union will collect school supplies for Albany students from Aug. 4 to 22.
Red Canoe members and the entire community are encouraged to donate to the drive by dropping off supplies at the Albany branch, 810 Burkhart St. or at other locations listed on the credit union’s website at www.fillthecanoe.com.
Bags for supplies may be picked up at the Albany branch. Customers may also start drives of their own. Red Canoe will provide signs and promotional ideas to help kickstart individual drives.
Last year the drive raised over 1,500 pounds of supplies in Albany and Red Canoe matched that total pound-for-pound. Donations will be matched again this year.
