We'll I started a new job that's got legit insurance and finally being given the money I can plunk down on quality prescription sunglasses. I have non script mauis and love them especially my new stingrays.

The TSO near my office only carries Smith. If you have recommendations on other offices please let me know. I'm in Houston so Houston offices only please.

I've been wearing glasses since I was a kid and got my first pair of RX sunglasses in 1978. My optometrist didn't have much for frame selection, but His price was hard to beat & I lucked into a pair of Columbia frames. Then he ordered me Zeiss lenses to fit and included progressives (reading bifocals) set for knot tying distance. Best pair of prescription sunglasses I've had. I'm not saying they're better than Costas, frame wise, but the lenses (the important part) & the polarization are top of the line. I see everything and no eye fatigue.

I would recommend you go to any of the small, non-chain optometry offices near where you live or work and tell them you want the best lenses they can get. If you're in or near Houston, the University of Houston Optometry school is a good option. They have great selection, but the appointment takes longer than most places.
