I think the Giants have won the World Series twice since they moved to San Francisco and gain MOST of their fans in the last 4 to 5 years.

Undoubtedly a number of casual fans have jumped onto the band wagon fans since 2010 and it's pathetic although I wouldn't go so far as to say they gained "MOST of their fans in the last 4 to 5 years."  I would however go so far as saying that I think they gained more fans when AT&T/Pac Bell/et al. opened back in 2000.

I remember going to Candlestick with an attendance of about 6 to 8,000 all the time.

Yeah, it was an absolute $hithole but just because attendance was poor doesn't mean they didn't have fans.  Just an out and out terrible stadium with miserable weather that very few people wanted to venture to.

Dodgers won in  1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988

Yeah, it's been well documented that the Giants have won only 2 WS since arriving in SF.  However, if we talk championships by organization, we have the following:

Dodgers: 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988 (6)
Giants: 1905, 1921, 1922, 1933, 1954, 2010, 2012 (7)

OK Dilbeck. let me rephrase it, They gained a lot of annoying fans in the last 4 to 5  years.
I have no problems with real Giants fans cause they know that in baseball nobody can dominate the sport for a long time, eventually they all fall.
and They do have a great stadium.

I couldn't agree more!  Although truthfully, I don't think it's unique to just SF.  It's just much more obvious to us because we live in the vicinity of SF.  How many Boston fans came out of the woodwork when they won the WS in 2004 after not having won it in 86 years.  Or how many casual Chicago fans jumped on the White Sox bandwagon after they won it in 2005 for the first time in 88 years.

So you both are playing for who's the BEST of the WORST, being the NL West is the weakest division.   :smt044

With that being said, GO A's!  :wav:

I say dish it out brother....they are playing well and SF doesn't look very inspired.  Its sports, it happens.

Plus, its gotta be rough knowing the only World Series Championship ring thats ever adorned your paw is a Giants Ring  :smt004

In the last decade...of ALL the players they had to trade or let walk because the A's couldn't afford their services any longer...I can only think of a few that actually went on to have more productive careers than they did in OAKLAND. ....Tim Hudson, Gio Gonzales, Carlos Gonzales, Huston Street, Jason Giambi, Nick Swisher, and Andre Ethier? Rajai Davis? lol
So, in the majority of instances wherein they "unfortunately had to" let guys go...it was actually the right move!   :smt008

If Dodgers acquire John Lester tomorrow, their starting rotation will be: (even thought they don't really need Lester) KERSHAW, GREINKE, LESTER, BECKETT, RYU,
AND JUST FOR SHITS HAREN!  Yeah we're spending and we don't care!
