Hey all. Stationed at Travis AFB... Orig from Florida member of the HCKAC out there but just got back into yakin.

Fished for reds, snook, tarpon, trout, etc from a yak. Looking to get some great fishing while I'm out here in the area!

Welcome Boomer135. I am new to this sight as well. Stationed at Beale AFB. If you want to do some decent Large Mouth fishing make your way up to Beale. We have some decent little lakes on base.

I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to fishing being from florida. Fresh water is tough for me to keep my interest, since I'm a salt guy...

My main interest out here is salmon, and I'd love to get a sturgeon before I leave. I don't mind the rivers when salmon are to be found.

Thanks for all the kind welcomes, hopefully I bump into you guys on the water, or PM me and we can set something up

Welcome boomer to a great bunch of guys. They'll teach you the ropes about the "peaceful" pacific. You're there in time to enjoy some great rockfishing and some stripers, then in November get ready for the dungie crabs. You are also close enough to a few lakes to do some warm water as well as trout fishing in the Sierras.

As for all you NCKA guys watch out, this guy gets paid to lay on his belly and pass gas!! :smt003 Sorry  boomer gave your secret away, but I'm a retired AF aircraft mechanic. I too was at Travis for a stint.
