I was thinking about it. Iam showing SE winds at 12-13 mph and a low tide at 12:15am. I know I could use some more practice with tiki!

I'll probably be down there at the family place so will leave the lights on over the water if you make it to the canal. Beware the neighbors dogs in the canal if they are out they bark at everything and don't shut up.

Thanks Mrs. B I appreciate it! I will make sure not to disturb any dogs as I know there are plenty of lights to go around and don't like getting woken up by my 2 dogs in the middle of the night either!

That beats the last time I was there.... Very strong current and winds were averaging 20+! I might try to go this Friday.

Usually it's fishing for reds. I use artificial mainly because nobody has live shrimp right now.

Is there another launch spot besides fat boys? Is there a spot actually on the island? On google maps there is a huge empty lot on the SE corner of the island.....If not I dont see where fat boys actually touches the water. I see an RV park behind. This will be my first time fishing there so any help is appreciated

Sorry. Going south on 45,take the Tiki exit. The first street to the right makes a u-turn and goes back toward the bridge. Take that until you get to the base of the bridge. There is a boat ramp on your left.

That ramp is where the old fat boys used to be and its just a public launch now right under 45. The empty lot on Tiki you see is where the old Tiki Marina used to be and there are still two ramps there but is gated off and no access as its owned by the bank until someone pays them their money and since they are asking a ton for it likely won't happen any time soon. There is a nice kayak ramp behind the store on tiki but again its private property belonging to the Tiki Tom RV park. There are scattered ramps all throughout Tiki but they are private property so unless you get permission to use one then best to stay out.

Pretty much anything once you enter the island is private property to someone.
