Stayed at the Sea Otter Inn on Tuesday with the family.  If you take the family and stay on Moon Stone drive it's easy to walk to the launch without having to wake the family for a ride.  Launched at six a.m. and finished up at noon.  I caught one nice cab and a twenty four inch Ling the first half hour, and then two more lings and a dozen rockfish between 11:30 and noon.  All fish were caught on a copper flake with a blue top swim bait, and a Berkley Jerk Shad above it.  In the morning I'm facing the shore when I hear two large explosions in the water right behind me.  I turn around and it is two large whales breaching 800 yards away.  Scared the crap out of me, but thankfully they were heading out to sea.  At 11:15 I see a huge flock of cormorants floating so I paddle over and start hooking up right away.

Full breech on the whales...way cool.... :smt003 awesome... I was @ Albion last week and we had whales come up 50 yards away, heard the air blow turned around and saw two, makes u feel kinda small  :smt003
