Slide Series: The First Two Rock2Rock Races

If the 22 mile paddle wasn’t enough, then they had crazy shorebreak along a rocky bottom. And if that wasn't enough, then they had a long trek up the hill, shouldering boards with lead arms. And for those who that wasn't enough for, they came back again next year to do it all over again.

We dug up some slides from the first and second years of the Rock2Rock, when the course ran from Two Harbors to what is now Terranea. Looking back at these, we remember the killer after party, the patient escort boats, the falls at the finish line, and all the family, friends, and strangers who made it a great race. Enjoy, and tag yourself or people you recognize in the comments!
