Very good summary.  When you demo the 16, make sure you demo the 13 at the same time for comparison.
As far as surf launch, the best thing to do is your timing then paddle like mad.  I believe whether its the Revos or Outback, they won't make too much difference (The SC Raptor undoubtly beast all yaks that I know).

Will let you know when I’m able to side by side the 13 and the 16.

In regards to the surf launch points, I think hauling the extra 20#s through the surf in a flatter hull would make a difference to me, but I won’t know until I’m actually able to compare in the surf, right? Let’s hope I have the privilege of doing that one day. And, I am certainly game to try out a Raptor at some point in time.

This has been a great thread. Thanks to everyone who has added their two cents and thank you for posting your detailed review of the 2020's.

I may have missed it if it was mentioned somewhere in the thread, but how big of a paddler are you ? Sorry, not to get too personal but I feel like stability is sometimes a relative term and it really depends on each paddler's individual height, weight, balance, etc.

The reason that I ask is because I've been looking to upgrade from my OK Big Game to a peddle kayak but it's always difficult finding a boat that accommodates a bigger paddler (6'4" 245 in my case). Because of the similarity in hull dimensions to my current kayak, I've been looking closely at the Outback and wondered how well it fits bigger kayakers.

Don’t know anything about outbacks but my used revo had a big guy peddling it... “the inn keeper” HA. Sounds like you need a demo day...  got to warn you though once you peddle-paddling is kind of silly!!! At least for me anyways!!! Good Luck and GetSome!!!

Picked up a new Revo 13 from CCK Oakland. Took it on its maiden voyage at China camp with the fam today. Thanks to JT at CCK for adding the Scotty block, gear track, Mirage leash, and turbo fins. His 1.5 hour of work was worth 10 hours of my agony and nothing had to be repaired... Now I gotta get my Garmin transducer mounted. Open to suggestions.

I pulled a swim bait behind the boat in hopes of getting the deck bloody with a striper. Nothing doing. Might head out to SPB to see if I can rectify that next weekend. Or, I might drop a trap or two in Bodega and then try and catch some surf perch while the pots soak.  Happy to have company, weather permitting.
