BIC PERFORMER
AIR 10’6
TEST REVIEW.

Verdict
The Bic 10’6 Performer Air is a well-thought out board with a high level of finish and construction that will easily stand up to daily commercial use in SUP centres and survive the rigours of active family outings. The yoga mat deck pad is a real treat giving good grip while being soft on bare skin and the nose and tail carry handles just add to the practicality of this versatile all-rounder. The Performer Air promotes a low centre of gravity and is a stable board for first timers, bigger paddlers and hassle free activity.

Overview
We’ll probably mention it once or twice more, but the Bic Performer Air is a solidly put-together board. The leash and tow points are glued onto the board for life, essential if you’re using a board in a commercial setting. The yoga style deck mat covers three quarters of the board and is really kind on the skin. Nose and tail carry handles, cargo bungee with clam-cleat and padded carry handle finish off the deck. Underneath, two moulded fins and a clever tool-less US style centre fin are clustered around the tail. Finally, a stiffening PVC stringer runs nose to tail on the deck and underside of the board.

Brand claim
The 10’6 Performer AIR complete package is the ultimate all-water board for both flat-water cruising with family and friends as well as surfing ocean waves. The 10’6 works great for novice riders up to 200lbs. Our unique SUP AIR construction technology features a dual layer stringer and side rails for rigidity combined with rugged drop-stitch panels to reduce weight without sacrificing durability.

Performance
With its 10’6 all-round template, the Performer Air offers no surprises when you step onto it, which is just the characteristic you want from a board like this. We used it in many teaching scenarios for first timers of all ages and sizes and everyone got on great with it; sometimes at sea, predictability is good and unnecessary excitement is bad! This is an ideal flat water board where stability and simplicity of use are required: it has everything you need in a teaching platform and will tether nicely for a bit of mindfulness or yoga practise on a glassy evening lake. Everything you need to get going is here; backpack, pump, leash, durable adjustable nylon paddle, and the board is finished to the premium standards with chunky, super-tough leash and tow points and reinforcements around the carry-handle attachments. If you’re looking for a reliable all-rounder that is built to suck up the abuse of many seasons on the water, the Bic Performer Air 10’6 is a great place to start.
