Hunter and Harris Release New 'Hartley' Bent Shaft Paddle

Hunter and Harris Release New 'Hartley' Bent Shaft Paddle

Canadian paddle makers Hunter and Harris have released a new canoe paddle called the Hartley which is a bent shaft paddle.

This handcrafted paddle is not only strong but light with the efficiency of a 10° bend. This also marks the return of the highly missed oiled grip which was a common request from their customers to bring back.

It is specifically designed for the tripper that is going to head out in tough, rugged conditions. The wrap around resin tip(a first for H&H) and laminated 4 oz fibreglass cloth encased in epoxy seals this paddle up for years of use. One thing that is very unique to how H&H approaches bentshaft design is that they need to be able to perform well in both sit-n-switch and Canadian style paddling. You can now effortlessly perform the J/Canadian stroke all day long with this design without even an inclination that you’re paddling a bent shaft.
