Some of our first HyDryve kayaks were made with an early generation cable. Unfortunately, despite our efforts to ensure the entire piece was rust resistant and made with galvanized steel, the sheath surrounding the wire was made with a metal that is not. We have since corrected this issue, but some boats shipped out with those wires. While people using the kayak in fresh water will most likely never have any problems, saltwater use could exacerbate the problem. We have made this video to show you how to install your replacement wires.
