Nice, Chet!  Good music too.  Who dat?

Also, make sure to buy the heat shrink connectors.  Non-heatshrink look very similar, but will not seal....

Thanks for the video tips: cloth protector, 600-700F and the shiny/gooey tip at the end.

+1

The wide part of needle-nose pliers would work too, and those usually don't have any "teeth", so even less chance of damaging the cover...
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

All the backlog has been cleared.  I also successfully made the 18Ah battery that fit inside the same box it weight just a bit over 2lb. It was sold already a few days ago.

Upcoming: I have quite a bit of private messages regarding a battery box with USB chargers. What people want is a way to charge their phone and other accessories that use USB ports. Phone is running out of juice on the water or in the field, they need a way to replenish.
Essentially, it's FF battery and a power bank combined. You can use it as a camping power source also.
I am working on it.... stay tune.

Yes, he is. I placed my order last week. PM over Tapatalk never really worked for me either. I suggest using your browser on your phone or computer.

Due to newer bigger FF (7"-9" display) and multiple USB charging, the power consumption is a lot higher.
I need to up my load testing in the new Black Box. So far so good...

Here is my personal review of ChetÂ’s battery pack.

I was in the market for a solid lithium battery that would last me an entire weekend on the water and came across ChetÂ’s post. I decided to pull the trigger and get one from him because of everyoneÂ’s great feedback on it.

The battery is well made and well sealed that I do not have to worry about water getting into it. It is an Amazing battery!

I took it out last weekend for a camping trip and ran my Lowrance HDS 7 Live on high for 2 days of 8-10 hours a day. The battery still had enough juice for maybe another full day.

Chet is very professional and courteous and I recommend him to anyone who is in the market for a solid, well built and reliable lithium battery.

Here is mine.
