Hey!

Is anyone down to go check out San Luis Reservoir on Sunday December 2nd. There is a bit of a swell this weekend so I was thinking of hitting up freshwater.

Hope to see others out there!

Wish I could make it. That's just down the road from me and I would like to learn how to fish there. I have heard they are catching a bunch of strippers right now.

Can’t wait to hear how you do!  I love SLR and have fished it for decades! 😬. Get off the lake when the wind picks up. Happens pretty fast.  I’m “so close” to getting an umbrella rig to try there.  I usually troll Cordel Spots, sometimes called “sonar on a string” 😊. I like tfe structure around Dinosaur Point and in front of the pump outlets on the main lake.  Fish get ground up there and lots of tidbits for survivors.

Yeah, can't wait to hear your report also. Was planning on yesterday, but the conditions weren't favorable.

It was decent a lot of small ones... I think I’m going to pick up some Jumbo minnows and drift the dam area this weekend if anyone is interested.

Inspection was fine... I keep it in the garage and didn't have any issues. I always bring a microfiber towel just in case!

How do you fish the jumbo minnows? I was using umbrella rig on the down rigger for a few of my fish but a "Bait and Wait" would be a nice break.
