Wanted to post some helpful info for anyone looking at long drives and weather forecast.  Went to see a friend staying in Carmel last Saturday the 6th October.  Normally I would have never made the drive for a forecast like that.  Small Craft Advisory inside, gale warning outside, a south at 169 and building NW at 7 feet 8 secs.

To our surprise Stillwater was still a go at first light Saturday morning.  Scored my biggest Ling to date on my trout rod!

First pic is the rod that got the Ling

Second is the Ling

3rd is the wind line that filled in that evening

Nice job dude!!

I was diving there Saturday...may have seen you guys at parking lot when I paddled out before first light?

It got pretty snotty outside and I retreated back in around noonish...if I knew how bad the viz was on the bottom inside I prolly would have hit up another spot outside.  :smt005

Congrats again and thanks for sharing!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim
