Waka have released some images of their new Steeze kayak. The Steeze has a pod based system that allows you to control the boats volume.
It’s been some time since we’ve seen this type of system on a whitewater kayak.

Expect to see this 270cm volume adjusting beast some time before the end of 2018.
How do the safety bars on the rear pod hold up for rescuing boats or attaching lines compared to those on a normal shelled boat.
I would imagine they deploy the same system as on the kayak with metal threaded inserts. The pod will fasten to the main hull in the same way. I’ll will probably have covers or blanks to keep the inserts clear/clean when not in use. Dagger used pods a fair few years back on one of there playboats.
It looks pretty cool & will reduce the amount of storage space I’ll need at home!! Watching with interest…..
