Getting skunked on life in general these days, so I can't make it, but I hope y'all have a stellar time out there. Last year was awesome!

How did it go? What was the take like? Kevin, I would have liked to make this but I would have needed your assistance with the yak. I have been yakking for years but I have to be careful when it comes to ripping water like the exposed area of Brothers Island.

I had FUN! best $20.00 Value ever!!!! Camping in an absolutely cool place, Breakfast goodies, Pizza lunch, Lechon dinner, Club house, Fabulous friends all chilling. Fishing for some was hot!!! I got 1 short Hali and a lot of bites. Napping on the couch, Visiting, and eating was like a family reunion with family you like! Great job Jack, Michael and all the others behind the scenes eclipsed by Michael's enthusiasm and Mahalo spirit. So relaxed even after 4 hrs of traffic 12 crashes before getting off in Weimar. Next year my Bruddahs. Aloha!!!!
Come on out! It's time to play. It's time for TROUT Bass and STRIPER. Let go of the hand brake!

Hey Eddie and the Gang,

Thanks for posting the details, man you kept track of all the fish caught!!! On Friday, Capt. Frank took me out to the Brothers to show me where the drift was for stripers and different spots nearby where there was a shallow reef for stripers and the layout for fishing for Hali's. So most of us, went straight out to the Brothers and followed Capt. Franks drift info. to catch the beginning of the outgoing tide around 7am We were able to fish for a couple of hours, before the outgoing started ripping in the Brothers Channels. The stripers were boiling at the Brothers, we were catching and releasing shorties. Bass  were jumping around us and dropping down 15' with live anchovies was so much fun to have so many hookups and releases. You could feel the stripers bumping the line as we dropped down. New members Rodney and his wife Kelley? came all the way from Fresno. Rodney, your wife is a hardcore kayak fisherwoman. Head down and going for it. I saw that the both of you were out on the water again as I was packing up and leaving. How was the fishing.
I wanted to thank Kevin Nguyen (SimplyCook) for showing up big time to help make this event happen. Jack, thanks again for the Caja China roast pig. Capt. Frank and Jack for picking up live anchovies from SF for our fishing event!!!
Shout out for 16 year old Colton Crum, 2 big stripers and Dad Josh for bringing good energy and coming to his event with your son. Colton, is a hardcore kayak fisherman. Josh told that Colton always catches the most fish.
Ron, (Weinmarian), it was great to meet your son and wife. Jason (Fishguts?) it was nice that you brought your whole for the weekend, great kids, nice wife!!! Sean (Fishboundsa) for coming and hooking up with a big Hali, fishing the Bay for the first time!! Jon (Crazyfisher) thanks for showing up and maybe next year we may pool our resources for next year bigtime Hali-Striper Tournament at the Harbor. To all the other NCKA members who came that I have not mentioned, Mahalo for coming!!!
Next year doing it again at the harbor!!!
Mahlo nui loa,
Michael (da Bruddah, Kevin (Simply Cook, Jack (jackdiver)

Hi Michael and gang,  it was very nice meeting all you and seeing a couple of you from the Oyster point derby. Thanks to the hosts Michael, Kevin, and Jack for welcoming us in, we had a very good time, the place was amazing.  It was very nice to be with a very chill crowd. Going out to the Brothers was something I wouldn't of thought of with a yak. We definitely learned from the best! Michael, we stayed out at the Brothers as long as we could today. It was slightly slower than yesterday, but  was definitely worth it, I think I might of outfished my wife, Kelly , today.lol. They were a bit of a larger grade today, maybe 21"-23". Even caught some rockfish near the Brothers pier.  There were some guys with sit on jet skis killing them with jigs out there. After that, we were close to slack tide and couldn't get a halibut to bite. Eddie, nice to meet you and we're  ready for sturgeon!  Again thanks to all for the hospitality, great food ,and company,

Thank you Jack/Frank/Michael/Kevin for all your hard work in organizing this event. Major props. Everyone there  were very friendly and chill. This has become one of my favorite place to launch and fish!! I was able to explore The Brothers island, the Marin Island, The sisters islands, I was tempted to check out Red Rock island but ran out of time and the wind/current was going pretty good as well as the boat traffic!!

All in all, I got 8 shaker and 1 that was barely legal that was released. I ran out of bait and should have loaded up on live bait but forgot my bucket. :( The wind on the west side is much stronger. It got hot quick in the afternoon. Silly me forgot sunscreen so I was burnt lol

This was actually a last min decision to attend and glad I did. It was a lot of fun meeting new people who love the sport. I even got to meet the famous Eddie and fished with him for a little bit. Congrats to Sean for landing that beast of a hali...Always a good time after to bs around a few beers. The food was amazing as always. The beer on tap is pretty good!!

The resident dogs are awesome and Rocky had a great time with everyone. One of the thing I loved about the venue is that its dog friendly!! Cherry definitely love all the attention as well as Shadow with his constant love for fetching anything and everything. lol

At any rate, next year will definitely be bigger and better. I'm looking forward to helping out next year with getting more people to enjoy this secret gem of Richmond!! Thank you again Jack and Frank for your hospitality!!
