Army Lieutenants complete training in canoes on the Ohio

A canoe powered by newly-commissioned Army lieutenants paddles around Towhead Island on Friday morning as part of races on the Ohio River.  All of the collegiate Army ROTC programs are administrated at Ft. Knox. Sixty-five newly commissioned lieutenants (LTs) from every college in the nation with an ROTC program, who take their first command at the completion of their training, are currently training at Ft. Knox. For their final training exercise before these LTs will take charge of training younger cadets at Fort Knox for the rest of the summer, River City Paddle Sports will hosted Voyageur canoe races around Towhead Island on the Ohio River.
