COOS BAY – Southwestern’s “Leadership SWOCC” is proud to partner with the Multicultural Club and Associated Student Government to present diverse and inclusive events as part of this year’s campus Spring Fest. The locally-filmed and award-winning movie "The Watchman’s Canoe" directed by Barri Chase of Light Dancing Productions, will be shown. Everyone is welcome at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) Tuesday, May 22, on the Coos campus of Southwestern, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay, in Eden Hall Room 1. Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable food or gently-used clothing to benefit the Student Supply Closet will be gratefully accepted.

There will be a question-and-answer session with Chase and the cast after the film. Snacks and beverages will be provided in the Eden Hall lobby.

Leadership SWOCC is a course introducing college employees to departments and services on campus and in the community, which promote student success and mission fulfillment. A variety of instructors introduce collaborative leadership skills to identify and develop the qualities of effective leadership and teamwork that are essential for career, organizational, and personal success.
