I'll join on this.  Also my first time at ARW.

Maybe self explanatory when I'm there but does anyone have an exact address on where to park?

Is this a beach or boat launch?

Any other tips would be appreciated.

My report for the day:
Trolled around the bouncy ball for about 4.5 hours. Caught 4 shakers. Seemed like most the folks I talked to did about the same. Beautiful day on the water for sure. Anybody land a keeper?

I was there and basically just caught weeds.  Did a hail mary and caught something big.  Had an explosive pull that sent my reel screaming.  Felt like pulling a truck.  Turn around and pedal towards its direction to catch up the line.  Saw my lead weight (10ft more to the hooks) when it decided to run again (took a turn towards bay bridge) and eventually lost almost half of my line.. About 25mins (give or take) later, cut through my line clean (30lbs fluoro).

Shark? Or super big ass halibut?

Yeah, the weeds, it was hard to keep the bait clean.

Maybe you hooked up a ray? Could have been a halibut.

Sounds like a bat ray.

I caught my first halibut from a kayak but it was a little short. I thought it might be legal so I netted it in order to measure it. I was able to release it fast but it took me about 10 minutes to get the treble hook unsnarled from the net. At one point I was surrounded by 3” bait.

I was also getting fouled with weeds to the point where I called it a day.

Just one short halibut for me as well.  Anyone else have a tough time getting their bait chewed up by Smelt?  I was trolling anchovy.
