In preparation for rockfish/salmon season, I wanted to take out my kayak to make sure everything is good to go. I have had my fill on crab so decided to make a trip out with a few other members here to try our luck on some freshwater striper. Fishing was slow overall but did manage to land a couple drifting and trolling live minnows. Weather was great! Fished all day and could have stayed longer if I didn't have afternoon plans. Check out the video here:

Rockfish/salmon is right around the corner!

Great video, thanks! I love the end with the snag, had one of those out by the mile buoy and thought I finally hooked a fattie... nope just a snag. I've been out kayak fly fishing the forebay there but haven't tried the main reservoir, yet. On my list now.

Always that moment of hope swept away with pure disappointment, haha.
