The interwebs say peppermint oil keeps them away.  I haven't tried it yet, but I'm curious if your stuff works too.  I'm not a fan of spiders...
We peppermint the car since I had a rat do a number on the wiring, it works on rats but we still get spiders in the car.

I've had great success with RAID fumigator.  There's a big difference in the types and this type uses actual smoke to get into all the nooks and crannies.  Not cheap; $20 for a box of 3 and it takes 3 boxes to do all my house, garage, attic.  I set them off when we leave for a weekend.  The smoke will set off your smoke detectors in the house, so don't panic!  Ha.  They are activated with water.  They get hot so I place them on a ceramic plate.

Welcome to West County Bro.
My advice...make friends with em.

+1.  I signed a peace agreement with them when I moved to West County.  Don't start a war you will never win, and why would you want to fill your house with weird chemicals because of a few little spideys?:smt003  Side note, I can't say for sure that I (or anyone I know for that matter) have ever been bitten by a spider.   Have seen black widows, including the big hourglass females, scorpions, and my favorites... the redwood spiders.  Cute little tarantulas.

Just get them in a jar or other container, and send 'em outside.  Easy peasy.  Spiders are good to have around :smt001

"God made spiders to step on!"

I hate spiders. I can tolerate them until they climb up the back of my neck.

The rodents in the walls (and elsewhere) is another story. I spent a lot of time and effort battling the rodents, and that'a a battle worth winning.
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

'Truth.  A friend just bought his house in Guerneville 2 years ago.  He didn't know about the extent of rat damage until he opened up the walls.  They had to pretty much replace all of the walls downstairs, a lot of framing, the roof, and essentially ALL of the electrical outlets and wiring.  Some wires were so chewed/damaged they were insanely close to starting a fire.

The house is really nice now, at least  :smt002

Whatever you do they always seem to leave their mark.  :? Here’s one from the garden a couple of years ago.

Yeah,  two bite marks like that on the neck are pretty representative of a spider bite.....or vampire

Good for you on your move Don. I'm envious. So you're at the Bodega Bay golf course? Bohemian Grove?
