I will hit you up or post back if I run into problems and give a status report.
So cool you scored one! Guessing you paid the full ticket! I'm here to help if need be but you shouldn't have a prob. It's def a pretty advanced piece of tech. But once you get over the learning curve pretty straight forward. My "Three", as I've come to call it, is buggy right now and won't charge proper. Support ticket is in and I'm confident it won't be too much of a prob. Luckily my Two is still functioning strong after 3-1/2 yrs. Fired it up today for some sweet juice.
Glad you enjoyed my vids. They are def fun to make.
One could go into a mall in Kansas and ask a teenager "What is a surfer looking for?, and the answer will always be, "The perfect wave"

nice icebox barrel, cookie!

the west winds you enjoy in nj blow it out up here---gon be some north in it tomorrow, finally--hope to get first surf vid with my 3 tomorrow--hope it charges tonight, when i attempt

btw thx again for the sequence you worked out--works (so far at least!)--amazing the SS doesnt release more concise setup instructions---clearly theyve been under pressure and rushed this out--hope you can get the charging bug sorted out--cuz i love you, but also for slefish reasons! much easier to get the fix from you!

lastly i hope they can stabilize the biz, get good updates out and reestablish as viable

they own the space, with no other competition as of yet (they're all chasing drone dreams), and there will always be a place, from my POV, for a fixed based robot camera

"Ice Box Barrel"! I like that! Shame the SS3 has had so many hurdles. They are a great company and try so hard to provide an amazing device. The instructions are pretty straight forward in their setup video. Visit their support page to check out tutorials, tips and tricks.
My SS3 base actually charged to 100% (finally) once I switched the charger. So all is right in the world now.

Cookie:  Wondering what SS3 is saying about operating the unit in cold temps (say 20-35 degree air temps or colder)?

And, are you planning on using it in Jersey through the winter?  Any concerns?

Not sure what SS has said about their robo-cam in the cold. I know what I say...BRRRR!! I've used all three versions in the cold. But when it gets REALLY cold, like Polar Vortex cold, it stays home. I had the three out today and it was MIGHTY chilly. My hands and feet were so numb for the 7 min walk back. Turned a lovely shade of purple/blue too! Unfortunately I framed totally wrong and the footage is scrapped. No biggie. We will live to surf and shoot another day.

Freshie edit here w/some more waves to myself. I haven't driven to a surf spot in weeks! Walking to the surf is sure the good life.

Thanks Cookie:  I'll get me a SS3 eventually.....I'm gonna wait a bit though and hope they clear up the bugs.

And love the vid.  My kinda waves in the first half.  And enjoyed your git-fiddle work kicking in just shy of the 3-min mark. Also liked the couple of paddle out scenes....maybe you could include some more of those in future vids.  I view each and every vid as a learning tool so I love all aspects/phases of the sport.

Thanks!!

And Happy Holidays!!!!
