Brokers with NAI Sioux Falls, Gregg Brown and Craig Hagen, have received their Society of Industrial & Office Realtors designations.

Joseph Hlushak has joined Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair Company (Midwest Fire) as an account representative. He brings more than two years of sales experience and manufacturing knowledge from Wheeler Tank.

Goosmann Law Firm, is growing and expanding into the Omaha market and the addition of three new team members: Joel Carney, Josh White and William J. Hale.

•The new Omaha office includes Carney as managing partner; White, former University of Nebraska Omaha senior associate athletics director, as executive director; and attorney, Hale. Jeana Goosmann is CEO and managing partner. The firm opened their new Omaha office in the newly built Advent Building located in West Omaha this past July. It is the firm’s third office location, in addition to offices in Sioux City, Iowa, and Sioux Falls.

South Dakota State Auditor Steve Barnett was recently named to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers.

A group of individuals responsible for implementing the Jay Heath Canoe and Kayak Trail on the Big Sioux River in southeastern South Dakota was recognized with the 2017 Program Innovation Award at the S.D. Division of Parks and Recreation’s annual meeting. It was noted by regional park supervisor Jeff VanMeeteren that the team worked extensively with the S.D. Canoe and Kayak Association to evaluate the trail route, which has been a partner in the effort to foster outdoor recreation using resources such as the Big Sioux River. The trail was named after Jay Heath, a charter member of SDCKA, who was a promoter of canoeing and kayaking in S.D. Individuals contributing to the project were Travis Theilen, Jason Baumann, John Dummer, Jim Henning, Mark Robinson, Lynn Spomer and Heather Berg.

The National Association of Women in Construction, Greater Sioux Falls Chapter No. 237, elected Sawyer Krantz the overall winner of the 25th Annual Block Kids competition. He won $100 at the local competition in Sioux Falls on Oct. 14 and his project will be sent on to the regional competition in Spring of 2018.

•Other winners from each grade were: Kindergarten, Sawyer Krantz; first grade, Callen Roeman; second grade, Elijah Swenson; third grade, Elizabeth-Kerstin Thulin; fourth grade, Rylan Philips; and fifth grade, Hayden Schmidt.

Mark O. Lee has been named market president of Reliabank’s Sioux Falls area locations. Lee begins his duties at year-end 2017. A new bank at 85th and Minnesota is under construction and scheduled to open in August 2018. Reliabank Mortgage has had an office on 57th Street since 2015. That office will be incorporated into the new bank building when completed.

•Most recently, Lee has served as the public affairs and communications director for the Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce. He also has had a long career in higher education spanning 29 years with the University Center in Sioux Falls, Dakota State University-Madison and Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo.

Amy Finck has been promoted to store manager of MAC’S Hardware’s Sioux Falls location. She has worked for MAC’S for more than four years, holding various leadership positions at both the Watertown and Fargo locations.

•MAC’S Inc. is a fifth generation, family-owned company, based in Moorhead, Minn., with locations in the tristate area: Fargo, Bismarck, Jamestown, Devils Lake, Dickinson and Minot, N.D.; Huron, Watertown, Aberdeen and Sioux Falls; and Detroit Lakes and Olivia, Minn.

Sioux Falls marketing and public relations agency Epicosity has added two new staff members to its creative department:

•Kristene Watkins now serves as art director, joining Epicosity’s team of designers and offering a strong background in print design and design team leadership. She previously worked in the field for Lawrence & Schiller, Insight Marketing Design and Caliber Creative.

•Katie Levitt has joined the growing creative department with a strong background in copywriting and creative development. She previously worked in the field for Russell Herder, Paulsen and Lawrence & Schiller.

Profile by Sanford, the nutrition and lifestyle coaching service developed by Sanford Health, has expanded in Iowa, with a franchise location in Cedar Rapids. This fifth location in Iowa opened in November. Franchisees Dr. Mark and Michelle Lounsbery own a Profile store in Sioux City, Iowa, that opened in 2016 and recently opened a store in Grand Forks, N.D. Lounsbery is an internal medicine physician in Sioux Falls. Profile is headquartered in Sioux Falls and has locations open or in development in 14 states.

Jennifer Herman joins the Heartland Humane Society team in Yankton as the volunteer coordinator. She recently moved from Madison, Wis., and has interned with a domestic violence shelter, learning the basics of volunteer coordinator and event fundraising; and also worked as a supervisor for JCPenney.

The 2017 South Dakota Master Lamb Producers honored at the 80th Annual South Dakota Sheep Growers Convention include: Purebred Division – The Rob and Christy Zelinsky Family of Bar Zel Suffolks, Brookings; and Lamb to Finish Division – the Bon Homme Colony, Tabor.

More than 2,500 Hy-Vee, Inc. employees were recently honored for their years of dedication to the company. The seven Sioux Falls Hy-Vee’s had 92 Hy-Vee Service Award recipients this year. Those reaching service milestones are:

•20 years: Sallie Freeman, Joel Marotz, Belinda Nogelmeier, Nate Swalley, Andy Sutton and Jamie Tabbert.

•25 years: Jacque Hogie, David Jensen, Rebecca Valker and Julie Willett.

•30 years: Joe McCann, Karla Dannen, Wade Hanson, Jeff Kellogg, Mike Masur, Dan Rost, Luke Seeman, Donna Steever and Brad Wersal.

•35 years: Ray Bowman, Mike Noah and Scott Ramharter.

•40 years: Bob Vandenover.

Tori Halverson, Sioux Falls, joined JamesDugan as account service and project manager. She most recently worked at a local ad agency as an account specialist and brings more than eight years of marketing experience, with more than half of those years being agency experience.

CRN, a brand of the Channel Company, has honored Sterling Computers in Dakota Dunes with its esteemed 2017 Triple Crown Award. Sterling was among just 40 North American solution providers who had the qualifying revenue, growth, and technical expertise to be recognized on three of CRN’s preeminent solution provider lists, thus earning them the distinction of a Triple Crown Award winner.

The South Dakota Pharmacists Association installed new officers and honoring colleagues with awards for excellence and community service at their annual meeting. Now past president Trisha Hadrick, Faulkton, installed the following into their positions for the 2017-2018 year: President, Eric Grocott, Montrose; president-elect, Erica Bukovich, Sioux Falls; vice president, Lori Ollerich, Sioux Falls; secretary/treasurer, Dana Darger, Rapid City; and at large members, Bernie Hendricks, Brookings and Jan Lowe, Rapid City.

•The SDPhA also honored: Pharmacy Technician of the Year, Jessie Spotted Tail, Mission Community Pharmacy, Mission; Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year, Billie Bartel, Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, Aberdeen; and The Hustead Award – SDPhA Pharmacist of the Year, David Taffe, Aberdeen Medical Center Pharmacy, Inc., Aberdeen.

•In addition, others honored were Salesperson of the Year – Brent Witte, Janssen – Sioux Falls; and Bowl of Hygeia – Rob Loe, Dakotamart, Pierre.
