Hey all,
There is a 1 1/4" bar mounted behind the seat on the predator 13.  Want to install 2 rod holders on that rod.  A couple options:

I am concerned about the distance from the bar to the deck (~4.5 inches).  Does anyone know if the scotty #358 has the 4 inch clearance (once clamped) from the rod to the deck to be positioned vertically upon rotation? 

Any other rod holder solutions for the predator would be much appreciated.  I realize I could install flush mounted rod holders pretty easily, but less drilling in the hull is my goal.  The Predator design seems to set you up well to avoid this. 
 

I was going to replace the bar with put the Hobie Bar and clamp-ons ($200) but I did a mock-up with PVC and didn't feel right. I was going fishing so in a pinch I repurposed a box I got from Tote it fit perfect and all it cost was two zip ties. I was going to change it up later but it worked perfect and why mess with faith.
