Thumbs Up

Hi all,

After a layoff due to injury and then breaking the nose of my trusty old Sanctum 9'6 "easy surfing board" i am in search of a replacement ASAP.

I have some smaller boards (Raptor etc.) but need to get some waves under my belt first and to be honest sometimes after a hard day, i don't want to be challenged and just need a "feel good" surf :) So this time i'm putting some focus on something that has good paddling speed to get on at distance and early. Sometimes i also like to do a headland "commute" and check out different breaks on an Allstar, but dont really enjoy "surfing" it so much. I seem to prefer a pointy end for punch throughs and narrow for a fun bit of prone/kneelo catching to break things up.

I'm 81kg, fourties, fit, competent but in no way a superstar....

Budget is max $1500, thoughts at the moment are-)

# Atlantis- some reductions at the moment- Vexs or Evokes- Evoke fatter but i like the colours lol, both about a grand landed in Sydney, or dare i say the "Venom"

# Jimmy Lewis- Either a Hanalei crossover 10"8 (on spesh now if any left) or a second hand large size sidewinder etc if i find one for a reasonable price

# Or take the cheap way out and duck down to the local Sanctum warehouse for another economy board (on sale around $700). i must say i had a really good run on the last one (and everyone i know must have had a bbq paddle on it).

At the moment i'm thinking of changing it up with a 10'8 29" Hanalei, as it may be lighter than a Venom?

Thanks in advance,

Ben
