I guess we could park at Trail 1 and paddle up on the weekdays, but it would be a long haul.  The weekday lineup will probably be wide open though.  The construction will make weekend crowds and parking even worse for awhile too, but maybe it will take permanent care of some of the problems around there.

What??!!! Boo! I'm road tripping to spend the week there now. Paddling over was the first thing I thought of too Zoo. Maybe I'll take an Uber over to Churches in the morning :-/

It's actually just called 'Church '. Park at trail 1, walk down and paddle out there. Head south a few 100 yds.  Fun breaks between trail 1 and 2. You'll probably have it to yourself mid-week. You have to be military to drive directly to 'Church '. Otherwise it'll be a longer haul than walking down the trail 1 hill.

The actual situation is this. The overflow lot 100 yes from the water is open all the time. It holds about thirty cars and it's used on a '1 out 1 in' basis.

So right now SanO and Church have a crowd control device in place. I surfed Church on Friday twice. I waited 15min in the morning and an hour in the afternoon.

Being willing to wait....California point break experience with at the peak 9 others and for the last hour all alone!  Maybe they should keep it this way.

A little spooked after the fact as there was a shark attack there yesterday.
