I read there is good fishing there.

Is it true?

Where would one go say from Nicks?

This would be for Saturday 27th.

Weather permitting.

If you just want to have some fun try fishing for sharks and bat rays in Tomales Bay.  I've done best down near Marshall.  Fishing with squid on the anchor with a sturgeon type wire leader and sliding sinker setup. I just linked up a map of where I go, I've had days there where I could not put the pole down, and days where I didn't catch a thing.  There's not much current this far back from the mouth of the bay so anchoring and fishing is somtimes a chore as the yak just drifts around instead of staying straight .  Best day was 7 almost identical leopards, my avatar pic is one of them. In that spot besides leopards there are 7 gill shark with very sharp teeth, (they can grow to 10 ft but my best was a little over 5 ft), bat rays with a dangerous spine at the base of their tail, spiny dogfish with nasty spines in front of each fin, smooth hound sharks, a possible halibut if you want to drift around awhile, and probably the possibility of other interesting things.  Can you tell? I like that spot, especially in the fall when it's almost pure seawater.

You might want to try drifting either  live bait  or frozen whole anchovies in the same area as the map , using the blue highlighted area as your start . I like to fish the incoming tide there and usually the wind is not real strong , blowing from the NW towards Marshall . We do real good in front of Marshall for halibut and sharks , even some 5-6' angel sharks and one real large 7-gill ( over 10' ). As Dale said squid at anchor will get you sharks/rays but drifting with a baitfish of some sort opens up all kinds of opportunities . Good Luck !

Looks like my map is gone, lets see if I can get it back

well the link works but I can't get the actual map to show,

anyhow IMO this spot is mostly just for sharks and rays, for halibut go north to the west side of Hog island.
