Michigan State Troopers Take a Canoe Ride Through Snow

Two Michigan State Troopers assigned to traffic duty at the annual UP200 sled dog race in Marquette, Michigan, on February 19 decided to join in the fun and take a ride through the snow in a canoe.

According to the Michigan State Police, and the uploader of this video, the troopers, Josh Nasser and Randy Rovelsky, agreed to go on a canoe ride if the spectators donated money to Tom Lakenen, the resident artist and owner of Lakenenland, where the dog sled race finish line was located.

The video was shared to the Michigan State Police’s Facebook page and racked up more than 88,000 views since February 19. Credit: Facebook/Brenda Ransom via Storyful
