4) A regular sup handle and not the lift style handle.

I'd bet $ that you would love the Lift Sup handle, considering where you live.  The guys that hate them are the cold clime guys that must wear gloves.  They are absolutely correct that it's not so good with gloves.

In the warm clime where I live, I have loved the LiftSup on one of my boards.  Easiest to carry, easy to lock down, folds out of the way.  I would put them into all my boards but they require a special jig and are a pain to install.

If you'd bet money on your gut feeling, you'd lose your hard earned money because where I live has no bearing on what type of handle I prefer. I'll explain below.

I carry my board under my arm. I don't want a handle where the bottom of the lift sup handle touches the top on any of my four fingers which will be underneath the handle. In retrospect, between my knuckles attached to the beginning of my hand and then moving forward towards the middle knuckles on all of my four fingers (index finger to pinky finger). To put it into layman's terms, where four of my fingers would be sandwiched between the top of the board and the bottom of the lift sup handle.

For me, a lift sup handle is "nothing more than a bruise on either the top of one finger or the top of all four of my fingers just waiting to happen" if Murphy's Law shows up and intervenes unexpectedly. A regular open sup handle grip or a grip like the Blue Planet handle grip are what I prefer.

   Patiently waiting your decision.

I'm also waiting patiently for my decision.

As the old adage says; "Patience is a virture".  ;)

I shouldn't have been typing without having my prescription eye glasses on. It should have been spelled, "virtue".

Well, I wanted to view the Triple Blends 10'6" Kane video again to compare it to a SUP Sports Mahalo and guess what, the video is no longer viewable on the TB site. In fact, none of the Tropical Blends boards videos are available.

So I went on over to TB's California's distributor, Never Board and no video of the Kane is there either. In fact, there are no videos of any TB sup models. Then, I went over to the Vimeo site and did a search for any TB's videos and there are none to be found.

Finally, I went over to the YouTube site and I was lucky to find the TB Kane video. So for any lurkers out there who might be following this topic thread, the TB Kane video is below. Thank you, YouTube.  :)

Tropical Blends owner Jim (Hayes?) is a super nice guy and almost always at the Tropical Blends retail shop in Honolulu, if you wanted to talk with him about the board and availability.

I don't own a Tropical Blends,  but have a number of friends that own the Kane and like it.  We are friends with Patti and Matt the owners of Neverboard and the PVC constructions seems to be pretty durable.  Feel free to give Patti a call at the number on her website--I am sure she would be happy to discuss with you.

@eDUBz

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting them.

But the pictures you posted are of the Wahine. The Wahine is the same board as the Kane in length, width, thickness and liters, but the Wahine only comes in a 3 fin box configuration. The Kane is a quad +1 (5 fin box) configuration. One of my parameters I've chosen and is a "must have" for me is a quad + 1 (5 fin box) configuration.

It would make sense that the Kane would have an extra appendage compared to the Wahine.

If I purchase any 10'6"x30" sup, whether it be the Tropical Blends Kane or the SUP Sports Hammer, although I'm primarily going to use it for flat water cruising, the board will be also used once in a while for sup surfing and hence my preference for a quad + 1 (5 fin box setup). Also; where I surf, there aren't large waves where probably where you sup surf, you have the opportunity to surf large waves and this is why I want a quad +1 fin setup. For basically beach break waves I normally encounter, a quad +1 fin setup works better than a 3 fin (2 +1) Thruster setup. To make my point, below is a link to two streaming video waves sites to where you can see the wave conditions I have.

Both the Wahine and Kane are identical boards. They both have the same length, same width, same thickness, same liters and they both weigh the same at 22 pounds in the production made Procor construction. The only difference is the number of fin boxes.

When I'm comparing different manufacturers of sups and their model lines, I look at every detail no matter how small the details. And judging from the excellent repair work you do, I know you pay attention to the small details too.
