and it was a blast. 35 mile ride around Del Valle left my legs feeling like Jello.  Not bad for being 60

Great video. Really liked the accompaning shadow. It showed climbs and descents much better than the usual (over the bar) shots. Nice mix of singletract and fire road. Looks like a pause to let a bit of air out for traction at the start?

Yep the tires had about 5psi too much for the hard pack. They were skittering all over until I let out some air.

great ride and distance; especially at 60. Gives me a goal to shoot for and I'm not that far off.

I teach spin classes at 56 and can outride all of my students.

Here in Texas they have no clue what a REAL Hill feels like, but I am teaching them. They hate it, but love that they are being challenged. Being a pure cyclist who has done many rides from 50 to 100 miles and riding in the Sierra's, has done me well since I never quit riding.

Keep it up  :smt003

Nice! That looks like an amazing ride. I gotta say, you've got 16 years on me, and are easily in a lot better shape!

question though, what's the mussel inspection fee for a mountain bike at Del Valle?

Hell YEAH !    This is inspirational.     Looks like a great trail..   I used to ride Hogan. best part was taking a dip in the lake.

about 50% if you figure out where they are :smt003

Key is not to park in the park but outside at the top of the hill. I live 10 miles away so I pedaled the pvement from home, road through the park and then into Sycamore grove park then finally another mile of pavement home. so 11 miles on pavement and 24 on dirt.
