How much line do people usually spool on these things?

100yds (300') of 100lb test should be more than enough line to start with... we really wont be fishing in to deep of water, would be a be-ach to spool it back when checking or rebaiting....

And, hopefully anything we do hook into thats of any size, will just create a sleigh ride... but be carefully when playing tug-o-war with the beast. Unlike a rod where you can position the tip of the rod at the bow to prevent flipping, you will be most likely fighting the creature from the side of the kayak, which can potentially shift your weight to the other side of the kayak should the line/hook unexpectedly release from the fish... while we will be in the cover of the bay waters, please be careful; both yakhopper and I nearly had this happen to us while playing in Albion last year.....
