So a few weeks ago I decided all the bark on the property needed to be replaced.
I hooked up the trailer and headed to the local landscape material yard.
Loaded up 3 yards of bark (the first trip).
Coming home I turn on the main street right before my street and I hear a scraping/grinding noise.
I look out the rear view mirror and something doesn't look right.
WTF!!!!!!! The trailer popped off the coupling and I was dragging it!
I pulled over and was trying to pull the loaded trailer back onto the hitch.
It was up hill and I was fighting a losing battle.
Some guy comes out of his house and asks me if I needed some help.
He pushed the trailer while I pulled and guided it back onto the hitch. BIG help.
I finished the project at home, bought a new coupler and all is now right with the universe.
I stopped by the guys house about a week later to properly thank him and asked what kind of beer he likes to drink.
Oh, you don't have to do that.
I know I don't HAVE to. I WANT to.
OK. Coors Light.
No dude. I said BEER, not hydration.
Coors Light.
OK. I'm a beer snob. Coors Light is not beer.
What do you REALLY like?
Well...stouts.
YESSSS!.
So I brought him a couple of really good stouts that I know he hasn't had before and told hm to stop by sometime.
Today, riding home from Jack Russell Brewery (yes, riding) I saw him in the yard and gave him a friendly wave.
He ended up stopping by to thank me for the beers.
He then told me he'd take me to the Tap Room, his treat.
Tap Room? Where's that?
By Lords Gym.
YOU ARE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lord's Gym is literally 0.6 miles from my house.
Becky and I were there within 5 minutes of finding out about it.
Great beer and it just so happened that they had great, free, live entertainment and a smoker with incredible brats right out front..
Johny MoJo, a local guy who kills it.
El Dorado Brewing Company. If you get the chance to check it out, I definitely recommend it.
Low key, fun, great beer.
Here's a clip of Johnny MoJo to give you an idea of what I'm talking about here:

Here's a pick from tonight. Remember I did mention low key. It was a blast!
0.6 miles away. Withing crawling distance.  :smt044
I had a gal take one on her cell phone and send it to be,because, well, you know.  :smt044
We were pretty much right up front.

I KNOW!
They were at Brewfest and I've seen guys around town sporting the gear.
I heard rumors there was going to be a brewery opening up in Diamond Springs in the old Ace Hardware bldg. I figured it was these guys. I never thought for a second they were already in operation.
I'm sure in the next few weeks I'll know a LOT more about what's going on.
I definitely scored a big one tonight!

Talks began for a chilled flexline from fermentation tanks to Tote's tap, all using CO2 generated by itself.  :smt004
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I'm curious, or more concerned. Why did the trailer come off? What was wrong with the coupler.

Who knows? Old, rusted, worn out?
There is NO doubt in my mind it was fully engaged.
The new one works just fine and is a lot easier to use.
