For transparency the cooler was purchased with my own money with no form of sponsorship whatsoever or promises of free goodies.
I wanted a compact yet rugged soft cooler I could take on short 2-4 hour yak fishing trips that would easily fit behind my seat on the Outback. When RTIC released the Lunch Box, it was on my radar until I finally decided to pull the trigger last week. I finally saved up enough pennies to order one. My goal was to have a cooler that could store a few drinks, maybe a sandwhich, and some ice.
Construction seems pretty solid (so far). The insulation is pretty thick. My concern is with the bottom insulation. It seems half the thickness of the walls. Time will tell if this will be an issue. The nylon webbing for the handles and shoulder strap seem well constructed and the stitching is nice. No issues I can see (so far). The zipper takes a bit of effort to zip and unzip but that's the nature of the beast for a waterproof design. The cooler did come with a small tube of silicone gel.
Capacity.. Remember, this is the lunch box size. It can hold about four 16 oz water bottles horizontally room to spare for a PB&J sandwich and some ice. A 16 oz water bottle sitting vertically is too tall for the cooler. The lid will not close. This cooler should be able to hold about 2 small Gatorade bottles. MAYBE 3 with room for ice. I'll update on what I think about it when I actually use it.
