Body found in Kentucky River

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in the Kentucky River.

According to Troopers, the body was found by Frankfort Police on Monday morning.

Investigators say the man had gone canoeing, but the canoe flipped.  Officers say while the man was attempting to flip the boat back over, he went under the water and was unable to come out.

The family of the man has been notified and his name will be released on Tuesday.
