One dead in canoe accident at Robbers Cave State Park

WILBURTON, Okla. (KOKH) — One person drowned in a canoe accident on Carlton Lake at Robbers Cave State Park, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Monday.

Three people were in a canoe when it overturned Sunday. around 3 p.m., troopers said.

Two were rescued, but a third went under the water and didn't resurface.

Crews resumed their search for the man at 6:30 Monday morning.
