Its basically a surf kayak for rivers. Incredibly fast, quicker than the Project or the new All-Star. Fantastic on a wave, both on the river and the sea. Fast enough, pointy enough and plenty of rocker to punch through the big stuff and make the harder lines. A classic, a real shame Necky have stopped making it to concentrate on touring boats. Would make someone a great wave/surf boat. Theres no recommended weight range but to throw it around in a hole you need to be a medium to heavy weight paddler really. Its quite spacious for a playboat which makes it very comfortable and popular with the taller paddlers/those with big feet. Its also quite narrow as playboats go, thats what makes it so fast, but it also means its less stable and therefore might not suit a beginner. What can I say I paddle one, but its a bit greedy keeping two.
