Hi,

I've recently got back into kayaking after about 25years out of the sport. I've treated myself to a Dagger Axiom 9.0 but have a slight problem that I hope one of you knowledgeable people may be able to help me with!

As you can imagine kayak outfitting has come on somewhat since I last owned one and I am slightly confused. I need to move the thigh braces. I have the manual that tells me I need to loosen off the 2 outer hand tightened nuts and the middle one with a screwdriver and spanner. However, the middle one is inside the thigh brace, behind the ratchet straps for the backband adjustment. How am I supposed to get at the middle nut to loosen it off so I can slide the thigh brace forwards?

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks :)

PS I hope I posted in the right place (apologies if not)

OK, this is going to be hard to explain! Im guessing you are familiar with the rachet system (pull lever to tighten, push the button and pull the strap back to loosen) What you want to do is push the button between the lever that you use to tighten the backrest. And pull the strap back, out of the ratchet system. You should now have the loose strap and the screw should be exposed. Once youve undone the screw and adjusted the thigh braces. Push the strap back through the ratchet system. And your done!
I really hope this helps, have fun in your new kayak! (which i am not jealous of in the slightest!)
