Hi,

I need an advice on choosing the size for my next kayak Wave Sport Habitat. I'm 185cm tall and weigh 75kg.

Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,

I would say that it depends on what kind of paddling you are planning on doing. Is it one day trips or expedition-multi-day kind of paddling?

I myself like to be in the lower end of the weight range, but we´re all different, right B)

Hi,

thank you for your answer.

Well I'm only going to be doing one day trips probably. I've tested the small Habitat and I like it very much. I'm just not sure if it's big enough for me. I'm a little worried that the big Habitat is going to be much harder to maneuver around. I would test it, but they only have the small one at our local store.

i am about 65-70 kg, but i paddle the Habitat 80, it does lose a little bit of maneuverability, but for speed, tracking, boofing and general downriver paddling its my favourite boat ive ever paddled, its also incredibly stable, i can count on one hand the number of times ive flipped over in it in the 7 or 8 times ive been out in it since buying it. i would highly recommend the big one.

Personal preference, but I have to agree with everyone else, I'd also go for the 80 ;)
