Ha, I'll stick to running waterfalls in my kayak... :silly: Any comments on this? Does anybody know if a drop higher than this has been run with a hydrospeed?

Not sure if it is a world record or not but it would help if they gave their sport one name, I have variously seen it called "sledging", "river boarding" and "hydro gliding". For what it's worth in New Zealand they run clients down Tutea Falls on a commercial basis and that is 8m. Not anywhere near as high as Deepdale Falls I know but just makes me wonder what these Tutea guides do in their spare time.

If you let go of your board, is that like swimming in a kayak? I ask this because there are some who say if you swim, it shouldn't count.

All kidding aside, That was sweet. Dude has huge balls. Way to go.

Same question crossed my mind. I guess that sport has different 'rules', if one can call it that... That drop is very straight forward, some mates of mine ran it the other day but for sure he has balls. I wouldn't do it swimming behind that thing. Give me my kayak anyday!!!! I persoanlly think it's crazy...
