Hy Folks,

We planned to go from Austria to Galicia in Spain from the 10th to 20th of Febuary. Now we heared that the water is very very low.

Can anybody give us more information, about the situation there. Does it make sense to make the 2000 km trip ?

We dont like kayaking with low water very much.
By the way: From an institute for wether reports we heared that the oportunity for rain in the nbext 10 days is low.

Maybe we should stay skiing in Austria. Here we had really a lot of snow in the last week. Will be good water in spring.

Dry greets

Hi we have the same plane like you and today I recive e-mail from one Spaniard and he wrote:

Water level is very low and d'ont have rain prevision for the next week.
Is a bad idea comming to galicia next week. Better in march, we have the hope thas rain begins.

So we wanted to go to portugal in the beginning of march. Is ther anything better expected ? We only know that it is low now but the Paiva festival takes place on March 11-13th, pls help

Don't go to Galicia if there's no water. It's hellish - it'll just drizzle constantly for a week without bringing levels up and you'll wish you'd stayed at home.

From (bitter) experience.

Hi guys , you can always visit us in Ericeira , and do some Kayak surfing or playboating in the foam ! While you are here we could see if there is any water either in The Paiva or more upnorth in Galicia . We have accomodation 50 m from sea and appartment fits for up to six people , free use of all kayak material during March , April and May . info@paddling-in-portugal.com

Hi fgrom Portugal,

Yes, now the levels are really low but we are expecting rain in the next 2 weeks so it is going to be good to the Paiva Festival. Keep looking at the weather sites and see if there's some rain falling up here...

paddle hard and hope to see you in Paiva
