has anyone tried the suction cup mount for a gopro on a plastic playboat? thinking of ways to mount it on the front and rear of my all star. says it can with stand 200mph wind on the website but am a wee bit dubious

I have never, but I wouldn't chance it. Maybe I'm wrong. :blush: Rather build yourself a simple mount that you can bolt into where one of the handles is. :laugh:

Hey Tom,

I wouldn't risk it. The problem is plastic bends. If you hit the front of your boat and it bends the plastic enough to break the seal, it will fall off.

For my 07 all-star I just stuck one of the stick on mounts on the front next to the security bar.

says its for impact free sports those mini flexible tripods work realy well round a gear loop dont know what there called but ive seen them around

Bad idea, it will fall off. I use the Surf hero mount from gopro for mine and it sticks well to plastic. It is a very large sticky disk with a mount. Follow the manufacturers instructions for the best bond. Make sure to use the safety strap also as the mounts can break.
